The Mediterranean Red Alga Asparagopsis: A Source of Compounds against Leishmania

Crude extracts and column fractions from the red algae Asparagopsis taxiformis and A. armata from the Strait of Messina (Italy) were screened for the production of antimicrobial compounds.
